Roadmaster
This program has a good length of three weeks, which is the recommended time for training. Yet they are not very thorough in their training, and if you don’t ask many questions, you probably won’t learn very much. Another drawback is the unprofessional and overcrowded classes that this school is reputed to have. While you usually want one-on-one truck driving time, they put about four drivers in a truck at one time, which doesn’t give you enough time to learn to drive properly. The benefits of this program are the higher number of locations (8) and financial assistance for those that don’t have good credit. However, they don’t pay for lodging or transportation for the school training. With a hefty $4,459 price tag, the upfront cost of $150, and other fees, the cost of this school can add up quickly. This company does offer job placement for life. However, I wouldn’t recommend talking to this company until you have made up your mind that you want to go there because you will have to provide your information and talk to a pushy recruiter.
